Uno de sus objetivos centrales es promover la producci\u00f3n y distribuci\u00f3n independiente de cine y video peruano de calidad. Como el resistente \u00e1rbol que crece en el desierto, del cual han tomado su nombre, Guarango se las ha ingeniado para sobrevivir y esparcir sus ra\u00edces.<br \/>Ernesto empez\u00f3 a producir cortos documentales en cine y video en Guarango. En el proceso aprendi\u00f3 algo de edici\u00f3n, c\u00e1mara y direcci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s public\u00f3 art\u00edculos en medios alternativos como Salon.com, NOW Magazine, THIS Magazine, Gemini News Service y la revista New Internationalist.<br \/>En agosto del 2000 visit\u00f3 Choropampa por primera vez, con la intenci\u00f3n de escribir un art\u00edculo sobre el derrame, pero se convenci\u00f3 por la intensidad de la historia que no bastaba un simple art\u00edculo escrito. Tres meses despu\u00e9s regres\u00f3 con Ernesto provisto de una c\u00e1mara casera y un micr\u00f3fono. Era el inicio del proyecto.<br \/>Stephanie trabaja desde esa fecha en Guarango apoyando los proyectos documentales. <i>Choropampa, el precio del oro<\/i> es su primera experiencia en el campo audiovisual.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foto: Nelson Pe\u00f1aherrera C.
