L&#8217;un de ses principaux objectifs est de promouvoir la production et la istribution ind\u00e9pendante de cin\u00e9ma et vid\u00e9o p\u00e9ruviens de qualit\u00e9. Comme l&#8217;arbre r\u00e9sistant qui pousse dans le d\u00e9sert, Guarango s&#8217;est ing\u00e9ni\u00e9 \u00e0 survivre et \u00e0 \u00e9tendre ses racines.<br \/>Ernesto a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 produire des courts-m\u00e9trages documentaires cin\u00e9ma et vid\u00e9o \u00e0 Guarango. C&#8217;est ainsi qu&#8217;il s&#8217;est familiaris\u00e9 avec le travail de montage, cam\u00e9ra et direction. Il a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la production de documentaires courts pour BBC World, TVE (Telivision Trust for Envitonment), WDR, WETV Canada, ainsi qu&#8217;\u00e0 des vid\u00e9os soutenant des groupes de th\u00e9\u00e2tre et de rock p\u00e9ruviens. Elle a publi\u00e9 aussi des articles pour des m\u00e9dias alternatifs tels que Salon.com, NOW Magazine, THIS Magazine, Gemini News Service et la revue New Internationalist.<br \/>En ao\u00fbt 2000, elle est all\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 Choropampa dans l&#8217;intention d&#8217;\u00e9crire un article sur le d\u00e9versement. Mais la force de cette histoire l&#8217;a convaincue de l&#8217;insuffisance d&#8217;un simple article. Trois mois<br \/>plus tard, elle est revenue avec Ernesto muni d&#8217;une petite cam\u00e9ra vid\u00e9o et d&#8217;un micro. C&#8217;\u00e9tait le d\u00e9but du projet.<br \/>Depuis lors, St\u00e9phanie travaille \u00e0 Guarango et soutient les projets de documentaires.
