Guarango is a documentary filmmaking association with 23 years of experience in producing and distributing audiovisual stories committed to Peruvian development. We are based in Lima. Our expertise includes shooting in both the Andes and Amazonia, as well as post-production services.

Guarango’s documentaries have been shown in more than 150 festivals in Peru and all over the world, and through broadcasters like BBC World, TV3 and Discovery Channel.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT

We work with the latest technology and our own equipment for shooting, editing and post-production, including digital color grading.

HISTORY

Guarango was founded in 1994 by a group of enthusiastic young people guided by Swiss producer Stefan Kaspar. Since then, Guarango has produced 5 feature-length documentaries, more than 20 short films and dozens of spots.

We are experts at shooting in the Andes and in the Amazon.

Our Specialty

We offer our expertise in creation and production of audiovisual stories to clients interested in commissioning documentaries and social advertising. We also offer post-production services, including conforming, color correction and DCP copies, using the latest tools and providing assessments throughout the process.

We bring your ideas for spots and advertising videos to life. We are experts in social and public interest campaigns.
We have experience shooting in rural areas, from the highlands to the Amazonian rainforest.
We work with interpreters to portray people from all over Peru in their native languages.
We work with the following approaches: gender, human rights, development and sustainability.
We give you access to the most awarded and experienced documentary directors and producers in Peru, to tell your story through film.
Short or television documentaries of 25 and 52 minutes. You choose!
We also produce photographic reports and commissions.
We will use our broadcasting contacts to help your documentary reach its audience through television.
We work on color grading, masters and subtitles. We do DVD and Blu-ray authoring, and make DCP copies so your film or spot can be shown in theaters. We have experience working with all the exhibition chains in Peru.
We’ve worked on color grading for 15 Peruvian films over the last 3 years.
We can make DCP copies to launch your film in theaters all over Peru.
